Irena’s journey is anything but typical — and that’s what makes her such a force at McDermott Law Group.
Born the youngest of three sisters in Macedonia, Irena moved to the United States at the age of nine with her family in pursuit of a better life. Her path since then has been defined by resilience, determination, and excellence.
She thrived academically, earning a full scholarship to DePaul University, where she stood out as a driven and disciplined student. Irena then went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law, determined to turn her family’s sacrifice into success.
But Irena did not wait for permission to get started. Before even learning she had passed the bar exam, she joined McDermott Law Group, eager to make an impact. Her work ethic, instinct, and undeniable legal talent made an immediate impression, and she quickly rose to become a named partner. Since then, she has helped catapult the firm to new heights, becoming an integral force in some of its most complex and high-stakes cases.
Today, Irena is known not only for her commanding presence in court but also for her compassion with clients. She is proof that grit, intelligence, and heart are an unstoppable combination, and she embodies the relentless spirit that defines McDermott Law Group.
